There are many ways to get to Palestine. Most regional tours through the Holy Land start from Egypt or Jordan. If you are Planning a tour of the Middle East region, beginning your travel in Jordan is one option and traveling by land through the area, you will cross the Allenby Bridge or the Sheikh Hussein Bridge to enter Palestine. If you are arriving by land via Egypt, you will come through the Rafah Border crossing and if you are arriving through Israel, you will arrive via Ben Gurion Airport.

Welcome to Palestine, the cradle of Civilization, where West meets East, North meets South and where Judaism, Christianity and Islam took form.
We welcome you in Palestine and hope that you enjoy our cultural richness, deeply compelling history and legendary hospitality.

Over the centuries millions of people have come to visit this beautiful Holy Land and we are glad to welcome you among them.

May your stay in Palestine be filled with joyful days, nights and a lifetime of wonderful memories.

Formalities

If you are traveling from the United States or Europe. only a valid Passport is required for entry. The passport must be valid for at least six months, normally a visitor is authorized to remain in the region for three months.

Currency

U.S Dollars, Jordanian Dinars, and the Israeli Shekels are accepted in Palestine. Also, the Egyptian Pound is accepted in Gaza. There are currency conversion offices throughout Palestine. You can also draw cash from local banks using major credit cards. Tourists paying in foreign currency are exempt from value-added tax (VAT) at their hotel. Most hotels accept major international credit cards. Personal checks are generally not accepted.

Climate

Situated in the Mediterranean, Palestine has a temperate sea climate. April and May bring some of the most beautiful wildflowers in the world. Wild poppies, jonquils, irises, and other vibrant species paint the hillsides with color during the short spring season. The rainy season in Palestine is between November and April. Occasionally it snows in Palestine but it doesn’t stay long. To escape the cool weather in the winter season, you can go to Jericho, which is situated near the Dead Sea. Because of the wonderfully low humidity, the air in Palestine is dry. It is always a good idea to carry a bottle of water while hiking or walking during the day. In the summer months the night desert temperatures can get cool, so it is advisable to carry a lightweight jacket or sweater for the evenings.

Visit Palestine, a land rich in history with a tradition of hospitality. From the famous cities of Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Hebron, Jericho, Nablus, and Gaza, the Palestinian people welcome you to visit this Holy Land.
